Current News and Announcements

1. CATIER Faculty Research Associate Dr. Min Wook Kang, Director Dr. Min Wook Kang and collaborators from the University of Maryland, College Park attended the 1st International Colference on Vulnarbility and Risk Analysis and Management (ICVRAM 2011) hed at the University of Maryland, University College on April 11-13, 2011. They also presented a paper entitled "A Simulation Framework for the Path Planning of Unmanned Autonomous Systems, Vulnerability, Uncertainty, and Risk: Analysis, Modeling, and Management" at the conference.
2. CATIER Director Dr. Jha, faculty research associate Dr. Min-Wook Kang, doctoral student Shaghayegh Shariyat, and undergraduate students Charles Miles, and Corey Harper presented their research project entitled "A Bi-Level Multi-objective Optimization Model for Sustainable Green Highway Infrastructure Design" at the Morgan Innovation Day held on Feb. 10, 2011 at the Miller State Senate Building, Annapolis. 3. On February 14 and March 15, 2011, Dr. Manoj K. Jha testified in Annapolis in support of the House Bill (HB) 1135 (Senate Bill 728): State Board for Professional Engineers Increase in Membership and Practice Specialties. The bill calls for an increase in the membership of state board of professional engineers possibly with the diversity of disciplines.
4. CATIER students and researchers made the following three presentatios at the 9oth Annual Transportation Research Board (TRB) annual meeting held at Washington, D.C. on Jan. 23-27, 2011.
