Welcome to CIBAC

The Chesapeake Information Based Aeronautics Consortium (CIBAC) is a Maryland based organization which conducts research in the areas of aeronautics and aviation.

We investigate aviation safety, sensor development, knowledge fusion, aircraft maintenance and operations, aircraft health definition and monitoring, and air traffic control. CIBAC's mission is increased aviation safety through increased awareness and technological efficiency.

In addition to a focus on the National Airspace System and the Next Generation Air Transport System (NGATS), CIBAC is advancing new technologies in the following areas:
  • Advances Through Cooperative Efforts (ACE)
  • Aerospace Vehicle Systems Technology
  • Aircraft Component Design
  • NASA’S Aviation Safety Program (AVS)
  • Robust Air Vehicle (RAV)
  • Small Aircraft Transportation System (SATS)

NASA ARMD/Aviation Safety Program Technical Conference NASA ARMD/Aviation Safety Program Technical Conference NASA's ARMD/Aviation Safety Program Technical Conference is scheduled November 17 - 19, 2009 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner Hotel in McLean, Virginia. The Conference brings together government, industry and academic partners to share their latest results and progress towards future goals with the broader aviation community. It will provide an opportunity for attendees to interact with their colleagues on collaborative issues.
