

DR. SADANAND SRIVAVSTAVA |
Dr. Sadanand Srivastava is Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science at Bowie State University. His association with Bowie State University spans thirty-five (35) years. He also taught in India, Canada and in Iraq – an experience that has provided him a global perspective in education. Dr. Srivastava has been engaged in active research throughout his career. He has published in national and international journals. His areas of interest encompass applied analysis, computational methods, artificial intelligence, and user interface systems. Dr. Srivastava is Project Director of the project BETTER -- Building Excellence in Teaching, Training, Education and Research (a HBCU-UP Program a NSF funded project). He is also a PI (BSU) of the project CIBAC: Chesapeake Information Based Aeronautics Consortium (funded by NASA). He was PI of several funded research projects such as a multi year (1998- 2003) NSF infrastructure grant (Project LEARN) -- a three-year (1999-2002) NSF collaborative grant (CERI), a NASA grant (Agent-Based Information Processing Systems) and NSA/UMBC grant (Document Ontology and Agent Monitors) – and was an Institutional representative on MCTP (a NSF funded project for Maryland Collaborative teachers Preparation program). Dr. Srivastava was a member of the Board of Directors for MAITI (Maryland Applied Information Technology Initiative and a member of Advisory Board for GAANN (Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need). |
