The Chesapeake Information Based Aeronautics Consortium (CIBAC) has been established in the State of Maryland to serve as a research center dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the states unmistakable strengths in aerospace sciences and engineering.
Morgan State University serves as the lead institution for this consortium which also consists of Bowie State University, and University of Maryland Eastern Shore. CIBAC’s focus of information based aviation research includes aircraft health definition, structural health monitoring , system modeling (fault diagnostic systems), integration of aircraft systems information with air traffic control (ATC) and National Air Space systems, knowledge management/fusion technology for information based aeronautics, and sensor development. |
