Baltimore, MD. - At a press conference held at Morgan State University (MSU), Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-MD.) announced support for the Chesapeake Information Based Aeronautics Consortium, a joint partnership between Morgan State University, Bowie State University, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

CIBAC wishes to extend a special thanks to Senator Mikulski for her initial and continuing support for minority faculty and students.

Senator Mikulski has demonstrated time and time again that aeronautics, engineering, and research should be broadened to include all citizens who share progressive visions of educational achievements. To this end, the Senator has spoken and supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities in Maryland. 

Through Senator Mikulski’s efforts, faculty conduct research while students enroll in the science, engineering, and technology courses to further their education and research.   CIBAC's member institutions will further their research efforts and provide significant contributions to aeronautics engineering and NASA initiatives.
