The SEM Summer Research/Trainee Program provides financial support to Morgan State University (MSU) underrepresented minority students in Science, Engineering and Mathematics. The objective of this program is to:

1. Increase the number of students who participate in undergraduate research
   
   

2. Enhance student's learning and commitment to their studies
   
   

3. Increase the number of students attending graduate school
   
   

4. Provide students with professional development training.

Finally, participants in this program gain research or technical experience under the supervision of a faculty member or professional mentor at an industrial governmental or university site.
