The vision of the Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department at Morgan State University is to achieve state and national leadership in Industrial Engineering Education and Research. With a unique program of national and international prominence, our focus is on multidisciplinary and diverse learning experiences in integrated Industrial, Manufacturing, and Information systems. Such experiences will provide students, especially those from the urban environment, with the technical, managerial, human engineering, and communication skills to address and solve national and global engineering problems.

The mission of the Industrial Engineering Program at Morgan State University is to provide excellent undergraduate and graduate education and research opportunities to a diverse student body among which are African American and Hispanic students, as well as students from urban and other underrepresented communities. The Industrial Engineering Program will continuously improve its educational process to nurture and challenge these students to greater levels of engineering achievement and professional contribution to society through excellence and innovation in education, research, experimental learning, and in partnership with industry, government, and citizens of Maryland.
