Performance of an Optimized Eta Model Code
on the Cray T3E and a Network of PCs

We carry out an optimization of the distributed memory parallel version
of the Eta model code on a Cray T3E and a network of PCs at NASA Goddard
Space Flight Center.
Using two test problems, our numerical results
present the elapsed time, the speedup and the Mflops as function of
the number of processors and show how the optimization affects these
parameters.
