The pictures represent the microscopic images of our mounted test metal. For this lab, our group of Abigale, Asisat and myself had a sample of Tool Steel and it had a large chunk of some type of crystal in it. From Picture 1, the different grains boundaries in this crystal chunk are quite visible. But on research for the possible identification of this substance, our group came up with nothing. Picture 2 shows the burnt out grain boundaries in our sample of Tool Steel.
