Special areas of Interest: Adaptive/Smart Structures and Machines, Dynamic Systems and Control, Energy Resources and Control Technology
Some research topics: Characterization of slide surfaces and digital control of retrofit machine tools, Multidimensional Transient Engine Heat Transfer, Integrated Active Magnetic Bearing Control and Dynamics of Spacecraft incorporating Counter Rotating Flywheels, Compact Retrofitted Adaptive Stiffeners for Steel Girder Bridges

Managed Labs:
Adaptive Structures and Machines Laboratory (under development) - experimental investigations of adaptive retrofits of model structures; real-time computer control of structures and machines; testing and characterization of structural and machine elements, devices, and systems.
