Special Areas of Interests: Statistical Signal Processing, Biomedical Signal Processing, High - Performance Computing, Analog and Digital-Signal-Processing Hardware and Algorithm Design.

Present Research Topics: Vehicle tracking, identification and classification. Non-Invasive extraction and signal processing of physiological phenomena. Embedded parallel signal processing.

Description of Managed Laboratory Facilities: Statistical and Digital Signal Processing Laboratory. Laboratory includes several Pentium-class computers, Analog-Devices, one-processor 21061 SHARC signal processing boards, Texas-Instruments TMS320C30 signal processing boards, and a multi-processor 21061 SHARC signal processing board.

Hobbies/Interests: Audio design, high-performance loudspeaker design; photography; automotive rebuilding/modification -- previous specimens include: 1956 Alfa Romeo Guillietta Spyder, 1964 Alfa Romeo Guilia Spyder, 1967 Alfa Romeo Spyder Duetto, 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV, 1967 Guilia TI, 1967 Guilia Super, 1963 Porsche 356B Super-90, 1978 2.0L Plymouth Arrow, 1987 Mitsubishi Starion, 1989 Chrysler Conquest.
