The
Department of Industrial, Manufacturing and Information Engineering
offers undergraduate and graduate programs leading to the Bachelor
of Science, Master of Engineering, and Doctor of Engineering degrees.
In Industrial Engineering, students investigate effective methods
to integrate
people, machines, equipment, and energy sources to deliver a product
or service.
Requirements
of these programs are described in the Undergraduate and
Graduate Catalog. Program B.S. offerings are organized into four
traditional specialties: Industrial Management, Manufacturing
Engineering,
Human Factors, and Information Engineering. The programs are intended
to offer the students flexibility in building a program to fit
their professional goals and needs. The Master of Engineering
(M.E.) Program requirements is a multi-disciplinary, applied research,
practice-oriented engineering program of courses with the opportunity
to specialize in one or more areas. The Doctor of Engineering
(D.Engr) program requirements offers the opportunity to mix courses
to provide both breadth and depth. A wide range of course offerings
in major and minor specialties can be selected from within and
among MSU's departments. Some undergraduate courses may also be
included in a student's graduate program plan.
