The
Infrastructure Support
Education Program
(ISEP), supported by the Office of Navl Research, provides
academic support for students in the traditionally under-represented
areas of Science, Engineering
and Mathematics (SEM).
Under the auspices of SEM, there are three programs, they are:

Freshman Sophomore Bridge Program
- Catch-Up
SEM
Summer Research/Trainee Program
provides
financial support to Morgan State University (MSU) underrepresented
minority students in Science, Engineering and Mathematics. The
objective of this program is to:
- Increase
the number of students who participate in undergraduate research
- Enhance
student's learning and committment to their studies
- Increase
the number of students attending graduate school
- Provide
students with professional development training.
Finally,
participants in this program gain research or technical experience
under the supervision of a faculty member or professional mentor
at an industrial governmental or university site.
The
Freshman Sophomore Bridge Program is designed for
Freshmen who will be entering their sophomore year in a SEM major.
Participants are enrolled in Summer School in either Math 141(Pre-Calculus)
or Math 241 (Calculus. Students are required to attend tutoring,
professional seminars focused on professional development, computer
training, and other activities design by the program manager.
The
objective of the Summer Catch-Up
Program is to fund SEM
students who are deficient in the suggested program for their
respective SEM curriculum by on average, one or two courses.
